I would imagine living with someone who has schizoid personality disorder would be very frustrating and sad. They like to be alone, even if it means never seeing family or friends.
The wife or husband would find it annoying that their partner would not come home at a decent time or would work all the time to avoid spending time with people, including the wife/husband and children. The wife/husband would most likely have an affair at some point to make up for the lack of intimacy or would ask for a divorce.
The children of the schizoid personality parent would have an unstable relationship with them because the parent would rarely ever be home, and when they were they would hide from the family to spend time alone. The children would lack in areas of their life because the parent was not there. They may feel that their parent does not care about them, which can create emotional disturbances.
